About Dan Sampayo
Hi and welcome to the website for Brighton based DJ and producer Dan Sampayo. This is the place to look for future gigs, past and present releases,
ways to interact and generally find out information!
Before you venture off to the top right corner to explore the rest of the site, here's a little info about Dan below......
Dan Sampayo has been djing now since the tender age of 14, has played alongside people as diverse as Kate Nash, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip,
The Foals, John Kennedy, Anne Savage, Nicky Blackmarket, Graham Gold, JFB, and Ed Solo to name a few.
In 2007 he won a DJ Mix Competition run by top Canadian label Reticent Recordings and www.vonyc.com - Paul Van Dyk's online shop and radio station
and enjoyed residencies playing for Funky Lemon as well as guest spots for the Electric Playboys Club and Koba and got into remixing / music production
with partner in crime Oly Street.
2008 saw Dan take three residencies and co-promote Allied Beats. He also had his remix of Visualize - What's Your Vision released under The Remix Label.
2009 saw Dan Sampayo play at the Frequency Festival and producing his 2nd remix -a remix of Oppanox - Dum Dee Doo on Reticent Records.
2010 saw Dan concentrate more on studio work, however, he still managed to fit in quite a few summer gigs - mostly in the glorious sunshine!
It was a great way to celebrate his remix of Sean Pemberton - Freitag Deluxe being released on Pearlicka Records in the March of that year.
2011 is shaping up to be very similar to 2010. As well as working on his own tracks, Dan Sampayo is also currently remixing Girl With X-Ray Eyes
and Panic Button by Brighton indie faves Villareal. He has also completed an ambient chillout remix of Warmer Vision by Visualize which was released on The Remix
Label in March.
